Attendance Policy
- Attendance
is expected and will be recorded. Arriving late or leaving early MAY result in you being
counted absent. Over the credit number of hours for the course in absences is too many.
You are required to sign the sign-in sheet each class period. Failure to do so will mean
you are counted absent. Attendance records are required by the administration. Points are
not given in this course for attending. If a student misses over two weeks worth of
class meetings you may be withdrawn from the course by me, the instructor.
- See the individual class syllabi for it's makup
policy. Some classes have NO Makeup Exams regardless
of the reason. In those classes one regular exam is dropped instead.
Use the drop exam wisely.
If a class has fewer than five exams,
then there will be no Makeup exam without a valid reason and ***** NO
PHONE CALL (or e-mail) on or before the exam date = NO MAKEUP EXAM.***** If a makeup exam is given, you will need to make
arrangements for a time that is acceptable to both of us for making up any exams. There
will only be ONE Makeup exam possible for each student each semester. If
you miss more than one exam, the others will have zeros recorded for the
score.
Makeup
exams will NOT be returned to the student. You may see these exams
in the office.
- The following grading scale will be used (unless stated
differently on an individual class syllabus): (Percentage of All possible points.) A = 90% -
100%,B = 89% - 80%,C = 79% - 70%,D = 69% - 60%,F = Below 60%
- Cheating will not be tolerated. Students who cheat will either receive an F for the
course or will withdraw from the course.
- Sloppy papers will be subject to a 10% reduction in grade.
- Please see the individual class syllabi for more specific
information regarding any course.
- If you have a cell phone, I ask that it be turned OFF
or on vibrate mode when in the classroom. The phone must be stored
while in the classroom. Phones are not to be out during exams or quizzes.
