Online Course Review and Online Course Approval

To ensure that an online course meets KC’s definition, content, and quality, a review process has been developed. Online courses will be reviewed periodically. The review will assess the content and usability of the online course. The reviewing committee will consist of two faculty members chosen by the faculty being reviewed and the Director of Distance Learning or his designee, or the Instructional Designer.  These individuals will comprise the Course Approval and Review Team (CART). Final approval of new online courses, and/or approval and review of existing online courses will be determined by the appropriate College Dean. Courses not containing the required elements or low content will not be approved as acceptable online courses. Courses not meeting the criteria will be resubmitted for subsequent review and evaluation.
