Instructions for Students Enrolled in Online Courses

To access Kaskaskia College’s Blackboard learning platform (courses):

• Go to the Kaskaskia College Blackboard Homepage at http://bb9.kaskaskia.edu  OR, use the link on the KC homepage titled “Online Classes” (http://www.kaskaskia.edu).

• Log in using your Student ID without the leading zeros (which is on your class schedule) as your Blackboard User ID.  If you are a new student, use your birth date (mmddyyyy) as the password in the boxes provided (continuing students should use the password they use to log into CampusNet) and click on “Log in”.

• You are then directed to a page that has a list of the online classes you are enrolled in for the semester.  PLEASE NOTE: Your classes will not be available until the day they are scheduled to begin. If you enroll after the start date please allow 24 hours for your classes to appear. If your classes do not appear on your Blackboard list after the specified time period, please contact Online Help immediately at 618.545.3240 or onlinehelp@kaskaskia.edu

• Do not wait for your instructor to contact you.  You must log into Blackboard on the day classes are scheduled to begin, and get started by reading through the entire course.
