1.        Welcome to Biology 146 Online!

2.        The student is expected to have a reliable Internet connection and function well in the online/WebCt environment.You will be expected to work proficiently on your own. I will send messages and assignments through WebCt.

4. Grades will be based on the following:

A. Responding to postings.  This is an online discussion class.The student will complete weekly assignments consisting of researching posted topics and discussing them. Points will be awarded for answers to questions. Twenty (20) points per posting.

B. A five page report will be completed by May 5, 2008. This will be worth 100 points. There will be a ten percent (10%) reduction in grade for each day an assignment is late.

                C. Grade Scale:        90 – 100%                 A

                                                80 – <90%                B

                                                70 – <80%                C

                                                60 – <70%                D

                                                Below 60%            F

5. Dishonesty is a negative quality in any individual. It is a quality that is not accepted in this class. The first dishonest act will result in a zero given for that work. The second such act will result in course failure and a report to all appropriate administrators for further action.
